Hey girl, I’m Cecelia.

Welcome to the slow lane: where we breathe deep, grow peace, and choose cozy.

I’m happy you’re here to join me!

My Story

The before:

Wake up.

Get ready.

Go to school.

Extracurricular activities.

Come home.

Homework.

Sleep.

Repeat.

Oh the drudgery of high school.

Growing up school was a very important part of life. My education and participation in extracurricular activities was the main focus. After all, this productivity would be my ticket to a successful life.

Grind, grind, grind.

I was chasing productivity and I took this shit very seriously people.

But I was SO EXHAUSTED.

I didn’t quite understand because all of my classmates were doing the same thing. And this grind would be preparing me for the college and real life grind.

But why was my nervous system SO TIRED?

The “AHA”:

I don’t remember the day or the details. But I remember the feeling I had.

OVERWHELM. So heavy and suffocating. Like I had been pushing so hard to do everything but all I really wanted to do was nothing. And I was angry that I felt this way. It felt terrible.

This feeling was not what I wanted. And it definitely wasn’t the path I wanted my life to take. There would be no way that I could handle it. No thank you.

The transition:

I decided that I would not choose to live a fast-paced life with the crushing weight of stress and overwhelm.

So I embarked on my research journey.

What can I do to help myself relax?

What is a self-care routine?

How do I fit these things into my busy schedule?

I learned about journaling, meditation, yoga, self-care. All the yummy and delicious things that were missing in my previous way of life. These tools helped me connect to my feminine and spiritual being.

And girl…it changed the game.

The transformation:

I kept prioritizing these practices in my life. Not because I felt like I had to check them off my to-do list. But because I felt so much better when I did do them. I was feeling PEACE.

My life began to shift in a new direction that felt more aligned with my being.

I will say that life is not perfect and so therefore this journey has of course had it’s ups and downs. But it has shown me that living a peaceful, more meaningful life is something that is PRACTICED. It is not a destination that once you arrive you get to be there permanantly.

So I continue to learn. Continue to practice. And continue to show myself grace when things don’t go how I wish they would.

This whole time I was figuring out how to be SLOW in this fast paced world. Slow gets to be intentional, and savory, and is a way to recieve joy. It’s creating a life that you get to be present for.

Life gets to feel good and I am grateful for that.

How did this all start?

This all started for me when I realized I wasn’t the ONLY ONE who was going through this.

So many people find the speed of life to be overwhelming and exhausting to the point where we are don’t even know how to slow down anymore.

Our nervous systems are stuck on hyperdrive. So how do we turn in off?

That’s when I realized that this is my STRENGTH. I have access, knowledge, and experience on how to slow down. I can use these skills to improve

my own life but also share them to help people like you!

Join my community!

You are important and valued and I would love nothing more than for you to become a part of my community. Where we uplift and

encourage one another on this journey together.
